Map work travel to treatment access

Check the difference between planned treatment, emergency treatment while travelling and treatment in your country of residence. A geographic zone is useful only when you understand which services are covered within it.

An employer benefit may cover a posting without continuing after your job ends. Ask about dependants, relocation and continuation options, and avoid assuming an individual policy will automatically reproduce a corporate plan’s terms.

Make the hospital process part of the comparison

Direct billing depends on the insurer, facility, treatment and any required authorization. Confirm the current arrangements for the hospitals you want to use rather than treating a network logo as a guarantee.

For a planned procedure, ask who requests approval, what documentation is needed and what happens if a payment guarantee has not arrived. These details can matter as much as the headline benefit limit.
